I noticed my Bel radar detector has been quite silent for a couple days. Today, I intentionally drove past a store that usually makes it go crazy....display was normal, but no sound.

I got out the instruction manual tonight, and reset it to factory defaults...still no sound. "It's dead, Jim. I'm a doctor, not an electronics repairman."

Based on the near rabid devotion of this group to the Valentine/StealthOne combo, I ordered both tonight. I hope it is as good as all of you say, for $600!
