In the mid 1990s my sister's best friend got into a rollover accident in a bar ditch and was trapped in her vehicle by the seat belt. And she burned to death. Even though that's an argument to not be forced to wear your seatbelt. I do believe seat belts save way more lives than they take.. that largely they are a good thing. On the other hand I'm a big freedom of choice person it seems silly to me that a manufactured item should harass me into making a choice to wear my seatbelt or not. Whenever I started driving in Oklahoma there were no seatbelt laws. Now we do have seatbelt laws but what's even more silly is that I can be forced to wear my seatbelt but a guy can fly past me doing 100 mph on a motorcycle with no helmet and it's perfectly legal. Because he has the right to choose why can't i?
