It's literally sand blasted.

I'm not exaggerating about the 20 minutes. I'm cross posting since I'm now driving n55 powered e70 but I have to turn off the heater when it's below 40f=4.444 c outside if I want to get engine up to temp in less than 15-20 minutes.

The DME runs the coolant pump at 60% when ambient is less than 50f=10c to heat the cabin. With heat off more like 25%.

I've read about people getting over 300,000 mi on well maintained m62. Change that chain tensioner every 60,000 miles once your over 120 or risk chain guide catastrophic failure.
