Did you cut the plastic or something? because i don't see a seam that join the black bezel to the housing at all, it seems to be one piece so wanted to double check before i start the process.

Yes. Step 4 describes heating up a razor blade and using that to cut the top portion of the "U channel" that the lens sits in. After that is removed it allows access to the back of the lens where you can begin removing the old sealant that Hella installed from the factory. That's usually where the cursing begins...
