I'm about 3300rpm @ 70mph in 5th which is 1:1 so combined with the 4:10 diffs, yeah, spinny... I get about 26mpg on road trips and rarely exceed 70mph due to revs; much worse in town.

Would the post-LCI 6-speed be an option for a pre-LCI 5-speed swap? I mean if I could find one...

My F30 335i 6-speed runs about 2500rpm @70, though it's far more at home around 95.
