amebb is on a distinguished road
I have the same issue on my car.

The problem started when i accidentally put petrol in my diesel X5... i realised straight away and filled the car up with diesel. It ran okay for a bit with no issues.

One issue i did get is that when i fill the car with diesel the needle on my dashboard increases with the quantity of fuel but does not come back down again.

Would that be an issue with the float or the electrical contact, like shown above?

Thanks
