I just double-checked and all four red lights on the outer sections come on with running lights on. I know the regular brake lights work, but haven't had an opportunity to verify that the high-intensity ones do. I expect they will since I'm using the same bulb type as before and the wiring is the same.

I used LEDs for the indicator and reversing lights. They're super-bright and more than make up for the moderately smoked out lenses.

Mine is a 10/03 build LCI. I can't say for sure that these lights will work for subsequent revisions.

The best feature for me is that they make the rear of the car look much more modern
