When someone from CBS News asked Warren Buffett, a successful billionaire investor, about what he thinks the impact tariffs might have on inflation, he said this: "Overtime, they are a tax on goods. I mean, the Tooth Fairy doesn't pay 'em."

He went on to say " ...we've had a lot of experience with them. They are an act of war to some degree."

I don't pretend to be a smarter and more capable investor than someone like Warren Buffett. So I do take his comments on tariffs seriously.

And with Trump getting ready to implement tariff on most of our supplies imported from overseas, that means most of our businesses are faced with further increases in costs due to tariffs.

p.s. Dow Jones dropped 700 points today after Trump announced that Canada and Mexico have run out of time to avoid 25% tariffs. He will enact the levy increase starting tomorrow.
