I'm not sure what is an "oscillating tool" but between the WD40 and a box cutter I got it off the door. Eventually. With melted-butyl smears everywhere. Glad I had the foresight to bring some latex gloves...

I'm going to wait for the first warm day, park the beast in the sun so that door when open gets hit with sun, pull the door card and let it bake awhile before trying to remove the old one (if it's still there).

And I too hope it solves the issue!
