I just did the wiper linkage on wife's X3, went with the Vaico unit and was happy to see that is improved with bigger shafts than the original!
Once again, if there had been a little bit of grease on the metal shaft, even though it's a plastic bushing, the original probably would have lasted the life of the car.
Haha, I keep forgetting the car is 20 years old and probably has another 20 years of life left!
