I think mine is doing that on the steering wheel. The gummy part was only on the passenger door pull.
I have a very very big thing in the works to prevent the auto-destruct of N55 motors that is starting to happen at soon to be epidemic proportions
(We had both our n55 seize while on the freeway within a month of each other. One at 195k right after full throttle pull the other at 110k just while driving steady state). Oh that one didn't seize just rod knock.
I have a friend that owns a 2013 and 2011 also rod knock at 150 and 110k.
