Yeah I'd love to agree with you but I've seen BMW tech manuals with right and left BACKWARDS!

(Referring to your left/right facing the car)! It's asinine to refer to the mechanic's left side when they mean the right or starboard side of the car.

So yes you are 100% correct there is only one right and one left side of car while the "driver's side" which is a moronic reference with 1/4 of the people on xoutpost with right side drive.

So; i often use the absolutely unambiguous term of starboard and port for the purpose of removing any doubt and it's something anybody can learn and know forever.
