Been there, done that! Over the past 32 years, most of my vehicles sit exposed to bad weather, leaves, sand and dust, and the worst... hailstones and/or falling branches from the oak trees in my parking area behind the house. I really hate washing the vehicles, and only do so infrequently.
I have three garage bays, but only one car (wife's Lexus) inside, leaving tw pickups, my HHR Panel, and my '01 X5 outside. The other two bays are packed with my home-built 4x8 camping trailer, two welders, two generators, three push lawnmowers, a zero turn mower, two bikes, four ladders, lawn and fencing equipment, power tools, table saw, assorted lumber and home construction components, 16 antique chairs, two large antique tables, polesaws, air compressor, and god knows what else, so I have no choice but to leave my vehicles outside. I use 4x8 sheets of 3/4" treated plywood over the sand and gravel as workspaces, when I need to do repairs.
I'm slowly removing the oak trees, but until they are all gone, and/or the sand and gravel are paved over, my vehicles will remain dirty, and I'm past caring at this point. Hahaha
