I agree that it's subjective, too.

If we're comparing the E46 M3, I'd take an X5 any day. I don't like 2-door cars, and I don't like that raspiness of the 3.2L I6 in the M3 anyway. It's not a practical car.

If we are talking about a new 4-door E90 M3 with the 4L V8, then I'd pick it over the X5.
