How does that snap!? Has the plate been on and off and the bolts reused many times? I reused mine a few times and then replaced them with OE bolts as I started get nervous. Years ago I took the car to a shop for suspension work and they neglected to properly torque these bolts. The car made a nasty racket amd was clearly unsafe.
