The hubs and bearings are out!

I learned a few things to pass on. The lower control arm only needs to be in two positions. Both positions can be reached by unbolting the lower shock bolt. The lower arm moves lower. At full hang low, two bolts can be removed. Both sides, lower forward bolts come out with a short extension and ratchet. Getting a E14 on is no easy task. I used a E16 instead. All the bolts came out. All 8 are being replaced. To remove the other three bolts, top two and rear lower ones, raise the lower arm. Raise it with a floor jack. Raise it until the body comes off the jack point. Lower it and raise it again without raising the body off the jack point. The rear low bolts come out. A short extension and ratchet work on the rear low bolt. The two upper ones are tricky. I used only one swivel joint. I probably don't need it. I'll test my theory on installation. Now here's the trick! For support, use a strap. Strap the extensions to the axel shaft! Now you have leverage to break the bolts loose. I tried a pry bar for leverage. It kept falling down. A strap helps. See the pictures for extensions used. My 1/2 impact took the axels nuts off easily. Two new nuts will be used. The shafts were pushed in by hand easily. To reach max depth, a small hammer and extension work. A slight tap pushed the shafts all the way into the hub.
The local dealership will have 8 bolts on Tuesday. <$8 each. I had to get the VIN number to order the bolts. The dealership program was updated. My info was deleted. The software brought up the hub diagram. It would not let the salesperson click on the bolt without a VIN! I about lost it.

Drove down there for nothing. I called today and they only had 5. They ordered me 8 for Tuesday. I’ll clean up parts and paint parts. Especially the backplates. Rust is starting to show up.
