If you can determine exact pad, rework the brake quiet.

Application steps:

• Backs of pads – Apply a thin, light coat on the metal backing where the pads contact the caliper piston and caliper body

• Wait time – Let it get tacky before installing pads (10-30 minutes recommended)

• Both pads – Apply to both the inner and outer pads

• Avoid – Do not apply to rotors, friction surfaces, or shimmed pads

I have had to rework a pad. I also had a customer who knocked a pad lose hitting a retread on the highway.

I have used on shimmed pads but both sides of shim.
