E53 CCV testing
Welcome to the site. Mine had the same white smoke at start up when I bought it. It went away slowly. It disappeared after a cold climate CCV kit installation. CCVs are available in hot or cold formats. I went with a cold CCV to keep the fumes hot for better separation. Cold weather CCV basically has foam wrapped around it. I also went to a 5/40 weight oil. It's hot here. I may go back to 5/30 after all the maintenance done. The goo is moister in the oil. It needs to run to burn it off. If the thermostat is old, replace it. It will help burn off moister.
