lol! i was only saying that because there was an article in the paper last week about a woman suing them for food poisoning, i keep forgetting that not everyone reads the NY papers... no offense intended....

Any of the "top 5" romantic restaurants listed in the NYC Zagats will be more than outstanding, and expensive to match... TotG does a lot of corporate parties and the room(s) are HUGE so it doesn't really have that romantic feel to it.

The Rainbow Room at Rockefeller Center might be a good choice, mostly because they just reopened the observation deck on the roof so dinner and a stroll out to the deck might do the trick without having to change venue from dinner to "proposal locale", or might facilitate working the proposal into either before/during/after dinner all at the same place.

And St Patrick's Cathedral is across the street if you're of the Roman Catholic persuasion and feel like stopping in to let God in on the good news after you're done
