Bonehead SA finally relented and agreed that it was a part that warranty will cover, after I wrote him a personal letter detailing the clear logic of my argument vs. his illogical conclusion...I argued that the main function of the part was to operate the opening function of the door--the fact that it held a small detachable light was the straw the broke the camel's back...had the parts main function have been merely to hold the lamp, then it would not be covered....warranty expires in Nov., and stealer has agreed to replace it when I do an inspection prior to going off warranty...time will tell, but I've kept a copy of the letter I sent him....bonehead...
