I got into the service menu as well... but.... I don't get a perspective option on my screen when I go into the "Navagation/Graphic element" I have the smaller screen... is this why ?

The reason why is, unless you previously upgraded your nav drive from a MkIII to a MkIV, you have a MkIII nav drive and it does not support Perspective mode. If you go to "SETTINGS" after hitting MENU and in the top right screen it says 3-1/63 then this tells you that you have a MkIII and it is at the highest OS release level available at this time.
