The MkII has 2 components. The nav drive and a stand alone GPS receiver unit. You will want to remove both and simply connect the 2 cables from the back of the MkII and the antenna cable from the back of the GPS receiver to the MkIV and you are up and running. (the MkIII and MkIV have a built-in GPS receiver, unlike the MkI and MkII that require an additional stand alone unit).
eBay is usually a good place to look for one. Be sure you get a MkIV that is for an i-bus vehicle with the color screen.

I used to own a Grand Prix GTX and just made the jump to the X5. So far I love it. And this site will keep my hands on my X5
My girlfriend might come by and post a few nasty messages from time to time to try and get me booted off though
