No at all, the ipod is fine when I have the headphones on. I also have a bose Idock and the Ipod is just perfect.
Sounds like a possible bad connection. Have you checked all of the wiring?
The funny thing is once I checked the wiring and unplugged the DSP thingy that came with the Icelink, it stopped doing that for a few days but then it starts again...
