It was the Hotel d'Angelterre, on Rue Jacob. Claims to fame are that Ben Franklin stayed there while negotiating the end of the US War of Independence from GB, and also that Hemingway stayed there while writing a book. Very nice staff, clean and comfortable rooms. Within 5 min walking distance of the Louvre.
