Say Hayaku, I've lived in Diego, and was raised in the Chicago area. Houston is definitely not those places. I think it boils down to economics and your personal interest. The weather is great if you like HOT. It takes about 2 summers to get climatized. As far as the cost of living, it all balances out. Property tax is higher here, but we don't pay state tax. I still believe you get more for your money here than you do on any coast. Let me know if you have specific questions...I've been here for 12 years now and have a real feel for this Hot Azz place
