Back in 1976 my cousin and I decided to go through Yosemite to Bishop in my 1970 Porsche 914-6 but guess what closed! We drove all the way down through Bakersfield and the pass through Lake Issabella. When we finally got to Independence we had had enough 151 and Kona Gold when we drove through Indenpendence at 100 mph and got pulled over ! Sometimes you don't see these small towns when your having fun! We ended up in the same cell as Manson and were lucky enough to have cousin visiting from Kentucky and we were released. It pays to be a Hillbillly!
