I had the same type of rattle described in this forum--from the rear right area. I played with the spare tire, jack, tools etc. with no improvement. I examined the ski passthrough and found the door to be rattleable. I put a styrofoam block between the passthrough door and ski bag and that solved the problem! No more rattle.
