84-10-6-963-798... I need to have it configured I guess (not sure of the process) to make the bluetooth phone work. Do you know if the module that I have has the VA functionality?

If you know the steps that I need to take I would appreciate your advice.
Thanks
I had my TCU replaced yesterday, on my 05/05 production car. I was assured that a) the -798 module was the latest version for the X5, and b) they had installed the -798 module in mine.

I already had BMW Assist and Voice Recog built into the BT module. After replacement, everything still works fine. I had to reprogram the Voice Recog phonebook, but otherwise, no big deal.

If your prior BT module was lacking some of these features, you may have just gotten a free upgrade!

As far as "configuration" for making BT phone connection, have you tried doing the standard pairing? Remember, your BT Passkey will be different with a new TCU. The dealership should have given you a new Passkey number when you picked up the car.
