I have the Canon SD550 and the Kodak. Both good cameras , the Kodak extra wide lens is a important feature to me. The Canon software is maybe a little bit better but they don't offer a Ultra wide lens. The Kodak is thiner and actually is easyer to carry. I got the SD550 for xmas and the LCD screen failed. Canon just fixed for free. The placement of the LCD screen on the Canon is such that it offers no protection. The Canon offers 7 Mega Pixs vs the Kodak at 5. Not sure that you really can see the difference.
