Brave man, ordering one of the first E70s. I would make sure that 3rd row seat will work for you, as I expect it to be very occasional in nature, and therefore a significant pain for carpooling due to the access. You may want to wait for a V5 minivan/people-carrier.

Pricing is anyone's guess at this point, but I do expect it to be up from the E53, as BMW priced the X3 quite close to the E53. They can therefore take the E70 up in price somewhat. Given the new features, E60-level pricing is possible. That is a significant jump over the E53 (based on the last time I priced an E60).
