Definitely - or at least get them to check out the MkIV as it may indicate a failing DVD drive.

V27.1 is official - and BMW MAY upgrade for free - depends on the dealer. My local dealer charges £50 for the pleasure (Dick 'Turpin' Lovetts) however Jacksons in Jersey CI will do it for free - and with a smile and a coffee!

Now isn't that odd - my BM54 radio has also gone intermittanty u/s - they have one on order which is due to be fitted early next month.

Interested that you say you have got Dynamic Routing - I was told I'd get exactly the same radio unit as was swapped out (again Dick 'Turpin' Lovetts) - but I do wonder if they can only get the latest versions...

Good luck with getting it sorted.

Ah well, thought it too good to be true about V27.1 - I am using the hacked V26 (with perspective) and haven't had any issues with it. Agreed about V28 if it ever comes, though I understand the Villages/Suburbs issue is known about by BMW (according to Jacksons CI)

Cheers now.

Mark.
