So, off topic...what a f*cked up day I'm having! After posting this thread, with hair still wet, make up not finished, no clothes ironed, I hear a bang and the freaking power goes out. So I get in the car and go to the guys doing construction on the corner. They've been known to burst water mains, hit overhead wires and the likes. Of couse, they didn't do it. My sister, calls her husband, who is a cop. He calls Con Ed from the station. Because the call comes from a police line, they dispatch a car. So now, here I am, hair wet all freaked, talking to the cops. Off to my other sisters, to do my hair and iron (while she is getting her FOUR kids ready for school)
Real quick job on the hair, too early for 4 kids (sorry). Back home, halfway dressed. Hear my sister fighting with the garage door, she needs to get the kids to school. She doesn't want to take the X because then she needs to move all the car seats. So hear I am, trying to hold the garage door up while she backs out. Upstairs, finish getting dressed without incident. Get back in the car, get on the bridge - DEAD stop.
I should have went to the beach when the power went out.
