I can't say I liked everything he did.

In fact, it's a man card violation to have watched every episode of BH90210, Dynasty, Melrose Place, and the Love Boat.

But Mod Squad was definitely a cool show, definitely right for the times, and he did manage to assemble the proper eye candy for Charlie's Angels which I can say I watched religiously. Cheryl Ladd was and is still my favorite Angel (probably because she plays to a 14).

What made him great was that he had the creativity to craft shows that would have mass appeal in the 70's, 80's, and 90's, all very different eras with social and political climates. He stayed in touch with the times and he knew what would sell. He was the best at what he did - that, in itself, is a measure of greatness
