I recently purchased a CPO 2003 4.4i with 10k miles on it. I LOVE IT. The previous vehicle was a 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee V8 with 196K miles (I am determined to put 200K on it).
Why do I like the X5? It has everything I am looking for. It looks great, rides very nice and performs very well. I was recently on a trip and a friend said that my X5 feels like a sports car. He drives an A6 and his wife has a QX4. I can't get over how fast the X5 is for a vehicle that size. I can only imagine how fast the 4.8 is.
I wanted something with plenty of room for my hobbies. I love to golf and snowboard. I take a lot of trips. I didn't want a full size SUV. I think they are TOO BIG.
The X5 is not much bigger than the Jeep, yet it has so much more room. I am 6'4" and I have plenty of room.
If I may, what other vehicles are you considering?
