My reasons for getting the Passport.

1. Over $100 cheaper

2. MUCH fewer false alerts

3. POP (instant-on) enabled

4. Auto-mute- just too damn annoying with the V1.

5. Much sleeker / lower-profile

6. Both have similar range

7. In my eyes, arrows don't do jack. You'll know where the cop is...big deal. Bottom line- you have to slow down.

8. Good user interface with the Passport

9. Better display, imo.

The V1 was a detector that was good back in the day. It's relatively unchanged from the beginning of the previous decade..
