No firmware upgrade - its a replacement unit for the BM54
I was 'lucky' I suppose as my BM54 went wonky whilst in warranty, so it was replaced with the new version.
Where is your Aux connector? I thought it was a 'boot mounted option', ie. adjacent to where the radio was fitted, but COULD be extended through to the cabin.
