I believe I was not following too closely, but it's subjective since a person's own interpretation/observation comes into play.

I was alleged for speeding, recklessly driving, making unsafe lane changes (the first three I am definitely not guilty of) and following too closely "tailgaiting". I just felt that the officer was simply power tripping especially when it was followed by what i intrepret as a threat that he could have my car impounded. When I showed him some courtesy and challenged his claims by asking him to at least provide me with some sort of proof / evidence (which he wasn't able to do), he completely changed his attitude. He wrote me a ticket most probably because of frustration that he couldn't nail me for the other violations i supposedly committed.

And there could be other reasons for the ticket being written such as the following:

- jealousy : I'm 24 and drive a well kept and great looking BMW.
- I'm really guilty of the violation
- race and stereotyping
- etc.

As for "Pay the damn ticket and get over it man. yall complicate things too much. Bye."

If money came easy for me then I would. Also, I would like to exercise my right to a trial.
