Exactly! If i can pay a reasonable amount and get away without any points (last resort), I'd be more than willing to do so. Also, with fighting the ticket, you can at least request that your fines be lowered and ask for traffic school to get rid of the points that come with the infraction/violation if you don't win.
California has one of the highest insurance rates. A few points could mean as much as up to $800 in increase in insurance.
