I think the style of shoe that looks good depends on the woman wearing them. They have to be within the general look and style of the woman; something that suits her and something that she can pull off. To me, it's bad when a person tries to pull off something that doesn't suit them.
So can shoes be a turn on? Yes, if it's the right shoe on the right woman.
