See the link for the story of the UBC (University of British Columbia) Supermileage winner this year. This annual US competition is run by the SAE, and uses standard B&S 54 cc 4 stroke engines, although this one had a custom-built fuel injection system, and other mods. Carbon fibre body, honeycomb chassis, and lots of time in the wind tunnel. Not bad for a group of students working between classes and other engineering student activities.
