Thanks very much, everyone!
It hasn't been much of a birthday celebration yet.... I should be ending the 2nd week of vacation; instead, I had to postpone my vacation because of an ongoing project affecting 32 separate operations across the state designed by me and another guy. The only problem is that the other guy was in Asia for the past 2 weeks so his wife and kids could see her ailing dad. I should be sitting at a gaming table somewhere in Vegas, but that will have to wait for another couple of weeks.
I actually got 8 hours sleep last night for the first time in 2 weeks, but I'm still exhausted.
I did manage to muster enough energy to go the driving range and hit two buckets of balls. I nailed every club in my bag except my 3 wood which has been plaguing me for the past year. Can't figure it out... How can I hit my driver (250-260 yds) and 5 wood (215) consistently, but not my 3 wood (200)? I've been changing clubs and reshafting, but I just can't find or build a club that feels right... Pro is suggesting I try 1/2" shorter with a steel shaft.
Enough boring stuff.
I'm taking my wife and our moms to Dim Sum Sunday, then it's 5:30 mass, then dinner at either Shiro's or Saladang in Pasadena, maybe a movie, but if not, we'll hang out at Borders which is our normal Sunday night routine.
And that's BD #53. Thanks to you all for being such great folks.
Regards, Mike
