We have a 2003 X5 3.0 and within the past month the engine has shut off on us 3 or 4 times. It's usually on a cold (90 degrees outside) start and happens when you stop. For example, we got in the car and started it at our house, we got to the end of the driveway and the engine shut off. The electrical is still on, the engine just stalls. I've got it at the dealer (warranty still) now and they are checking it out. They mentioned a technical service bulletin, but I got a call today from them stating that they couldn't replicate the problem. Well of course they can't, it's totally random. What do you recommend?
