What you have there is correct. But no compensator. The compensator will plug between those two connected plugs and be powered by the power wire in your hand.
If you have the snap in adapter, I highly recommend the compensator

What's a compensator? Got price or part number? Is this what I need to boost the signal strength? So am I actually using my external antenna or cell?
