What you CAN do is burn them onto a playlist and then onto a CD and give that CD to your friend.
I know it's annoying, but that's part of the iTunes DRM.

Tried that....the CD wouldn't play in the X and when I uploaded them to my other computer, I STILL needed the iTunes log-in.
