Vin I am going to answer that question but also a response to Hayaku who asked why a Turbo? For us track guys, the turbo is not the quintissential track vehicle. It has AWD, it a little loose and sloppy, but fast as hell.

The RWD cars like the CarreraS or GT3 are more "track" vehicles than the turbo.

So here's my long winded answer:
First, the GT3 is going to be impossible to get. EVERYONE wants one and so few will be available. I sure as hell ain't paying a premium.
Second, my brother moved out to LA in December. We are both track drivers but he does not have a track car (he does the Skib Barber racing series) which I may start soon too.
So when we go to DE's, we share my 993.. So the answer is, we are going to keep the 993 and share the costs and use it as our DE car. Put in a roll cage, seats and 5 point for safety.

So Hayaku, if I already have a 911, rwd, do I need another? (ala: 993 gt3) Of course the Turbo will see the track but it won't be my dedicated work horse.. That's the job of the 993. But I'd still like to have something in the garage for local driving and sprints to Vegas, etc.
SInce my 993 has a H&R coilovers, LWF, Sport Clutch, Sway Bars.. It's great for the track but a bitch to drive around LA.. Besides, I'm looking forward to finally having cup holders in the pcar.
