You can mount it as shown in IFlyX5's article for a 2003 using the BMW bracket, or you can mount it as I did in my article for a 2001 retrofit. My install didn't require a separate bracket -

The cradle in the console has the button for pairing the phone. It also accepts the snap-in adaptor for certain phones, should you decide to go that route down the road.
