I have the Blitzsafe product as part of my XM Direct device. I have a 2005 X5 with BMW Assist/Bluetooth built-in. It all works fine. I got it here. I know the write-up doesn't mention X5's past 2004, but it does work fine.

I know if you have the navigation system, the system I have won't work. Similarly, I think it won't work with iDrive.
