Was searching for DVD players on eBay for my 2001 X5 (I have a non Dsp, stock system) and came across this:

I want a DVD player in the front and want it to be a full flat screen in the dash rather than the type that slides out. I've not heard of this brand. (I don't have a need for nav).

So what brands do you guys recommend and have had good experience with?

I'm sure like any mod I've tackled it's going to cost a fortune to replace the head unit but whats in there now is so limiting.

This car has about 30,000 miles and I plan on keeping it for at least 3 or 4 more years if it stays reliable (and gas doesn't go to the moon) so I don't mind putting reasonable $ into it. (Then I can afford the next gen by that time).
