I think you are seeing the premium E53's drop, the 3.0's are not dropping that much in Norcal, they don’t have the V8 stigma that higher gas prices tend to give. The E70 is not competing with E53 3.0 CPO buyers but might be a problem for the larger engine E53’s that are still pulling close to what a new E70 will be. They need to move those vehicles down to make a new E70 attractive to the buyers that are looking to drop new vehicle cash.
4.6 and 4.8’s will not stay at the premium much longer and I am sure dealers are not giving what they use to for trades, they don’t want a bunch of those older high end models taking any attention from the E70. Lower end E53’s are one thing, but the top of the line rigs might cause buyers to think about a CPO rather than new. No dealers what that.
