i do live in NYC, and I've been to Israel, I grew up in Ukraine and i had to protect the fact that i was Jewish, no Synagogue no holiday celebration, couldnt even speak of certain foods. had relatives whose houses were broken into and who were harrased for being Jewish, and after having been to Israel i can say its the only place on earth where you can walk down the street and not worry about someone calling you a dirty Jew or other deragotory (spelling) statements. It is a beautiful country one that is buzzing like the major metropolises (spelling) and yet they had missiles launched into places like Tzfat which is as harmless as any, or into Haifa and the point wasnt to destroy military it was to do as much damage and kill as many people as possible. I've been teased all my life for being a redhead, and though i cant say i've been harrassed by the cops i'm well aware of what that could be like. My moms best friend lives just outside of Haifa and they had to flee their home, when i was there i had to go through a metal detector to get to an outdoor market area, is that normal living conditions? we had an armed guard with us at all time is that normal? and its not because of france or London or Sweden or Canada or USA its because of the threat from iran which said as i posted in that article that they will level Israel if need be, and because of syria and because of iraq which has its own issues and because of hezobla and lebanon and hamas and palestine, would that be tolerated in this country? i think not
